the backstory
Oak Point Wood Works is a small, DFW-based woodworking, repair, and custom furniture shop for quality, hand-made-to-order, one-of-a-kind pieces. OPWW owner Jeff wanted a logo that would be easy to read on the side of his cargo van so that he could advertise his business around the DFW metroplex.
the goal
Jeff wanted to update his existing logo to something a little friendlier for printing at any scale. His vision for the logo was to appeal to high-end clientele who desire truly custom furniture pieces to fit their lifestyle.
the process
After exploring various carpentry tools, fonts, and compositions, we decided that a square is one of the most used and versatile tools in woodworking. It’s representation of quality craftsmanship paired with an elegant serif font exudes a feeling of trustworthiness and high-quality.
