the backstory

Roll on Fitness founder Bayleigh Wheat encourages lifestyle wellness for her clients through the avenues of roller skate lessons and personal training. Teaching roller skate skills for all ages, skills, and kinds, Bayleigh also focuses on sport performance training for skating-specific exercises. Clients include roller newbies itching to develop their basic skills, roller derby bad-asses looking for an extra edge on the track, casual session skaters trying to improve their footwork, and anyone else looking to transform their lifestyle for the better.

the goal

Bayleigh wanted her logo and brand to reflect both the roller skate portion and the personal training side of her business. Her dependability and mindfulness are what make Roll On Fitness such a success, so to capture attention and draw clients in we opted for the logo to be bright and colorful, but also approachable and welcoming (and a little bit of retro).

the process

Our initial step was to find the commonality between rollerskating and personal training in a visually easy-to-understand way. This was followed by a mood board and brain dump of any related ideas we could think of.

Once we decided on the basic direction, we added some detail, explored ways to tie the skate in with the rest of the logo (pun intended), and played with some color options. Then we looked for a friendly, bubbly, yet easy-to-read font that manifested the approachable feeling we wanted to associate with Roll On Fitness.
